MEME Update!!!

Meme is still in the hospital at Jackson General and she is in room 689 (in case you want to call or send her something) and she is so much better today. She got to take a bath and wash her hair and she even put makeup on. I called Mom this morning to check on Meme and all the sudden in the back ground i could hear Meme singing as loud as possible LOL I almost fell in the floor laughing (literally). She is definitely acting like her crazy self again! Please continue to keep her in your prayers!

"We may not have it all together, but together we have it all"

My Meme is in the hospital in Jackson, TN.....she was admitted Friday night into the ICU. Her blood pressure got really high Friday and she complained of chest pains so my Aunt called an ambulance to come pick her up. We thought she might be having a heart attack and at first the doctors thought she had a stroke, but now they don't believe that is the case! She has had 2 seizures that we know about and as of today (Tuesday) she is still in critical care. Jason and I went to the hospital Saturday to see her. Since she is in ICU she can only have visitors at 9:00, 1:00, 5:00, and 9:00 and only 3 people are allowed to go in at time (they let us break this rule because there were so many of us). The first time we saw her she was having trouble saying her thoughts, she would try to answer a question, but it was very difficult for her. She knew who we were and she was better that i thought she was going to be. The second time we saw her she wasn't doing as good....it was REALLY hard for me to see her this way. My Meme is young and full of life and fun to be around and she is a go getter....but seeing her in that hospital bed, laying there lifeless, was one of the hardest things for me to see. By the time her 5:00 visit came around almost the whole family was there....My Mom and Jack, Kris and Shawn, Me and Jason, Aunt Shelly, Brandon, Mica and baby Hunter, Bubba, Aunt Linna, Amber and Bart...we took up practically the whole waiting room. I remember when the nurse opened the door to the ICU to let us in, her eyes got huge and she took a deep breath because we were lined all the way down the hall! She had many guests and tons of phone calls....while I was there our family received 3 huge baskets of goodies to eat (there were probably more than that, that was just while i was there). This just goes to show how much people think of my Meme....she is an incredible woman and i know she is going to fight through this! Sunday night Jason and I spent the night at my Moms house so we could get up early Monday morning and go to the hospital, while we were there I noticed a blanket in my Moms room that read "We may not have it all together, but together we have it all"! This blanket describes my family....we are crazy and embarrassing to some people (the waiting room thought we were nuts) and there are times when we don't always get along, but no matter what is going on my family sticks together and together we have it all!!! We have always been a really close family and i hope this continues! I wanted to share a few fun facts about my Meme....she has 4 kids, 10 grand kids, and fixing to be 4 great grandchildren, she will beat you with whatever she can get her hands on if you get into ants (poor child and ants), she makes ANY food look good when she eats it, she loves her family more than anything in this world, she loves to tell you what she is thinking (she was mad at a nurse and she let him know it), and my favorite fact about her is that she will help you with anything no matter what you ask! Everyone please keep her in yours prayers.

Update: Last night the doctors decided to put Meme in a room....she will be taken out of critical care! Now she can have a visitor at all times. I really think this will help her get better! Please keep praying, maybe before too long the next step will be going home!!

Happy Father's Day!!

So I am a little late....we have had lots going on. Most of you know that my Meme is really sick, so Jason and I have been making trips to Jackson, TN. I will blog about that in a little while (because she deserves a blog all to her self)!!!

This year was Jason's 2nd Father's Day and might I add that he is a really good Daddy! I came up with a special little game that involved clues in order for Jason to find his Father's Day gift. Landon gave Jason a little box with a piece of paper in it that read....Daddy, There are many reasons why i love you, I'm going to show you a few, to find your Father's day gift, you'll need to follow my clues!
Clue # 1: Daddy, I love you so very much, you really have no clue and i am very thankful you change my stinky poo! (changing table)
Clue # 2: Daddy, I love to make you laugh when i dance and sing, and i really love to snuggle with you in your favorite thing!! (recliner)

Clue #3: Daddy, I love the way you teach me things, sometimes you are a silly goose, and thank you so much for keeping me stocked up on apple juice! (fridge)

Clue #4: Daddy, One day I hope to be as big as you, but i will always be your little buddy, I really like to play in these even though sometimes they are muddy! (boots)
Clue #5: Daddy, my favorite thing in the world is hanging out with you, especially when we are outside riding the voom voom! (four wheeler)

Clue #6: I hope to one day, Daddy be as great as you, and i know if i ever need anything your who i will always lean too!! (the lean too behind the shed)

This was his face after he found it....I finally got him something that he didn't know anything about!!!!!!!!
I think he was in shock....

Happy Father's Day 2009!

Oh...this is what he got...a gas grill! He was a pretty good Daddy this year ;)This Father's Day was also a little sad for me. Since my Meme was admitted into the hospital this weekend, we didn't get to visit my dad on Father's Day. He completely understood and i sent him a gift through my sister, but this is the first Father's Day that i haven't seen him since i was born! It was also very sad to see my Meme in the condition she was in, but again that is a whole nother blog)!!!
Jason and I are both blessed with great dads! So Happy Father's Day to all of you! We love you and thank you for everything!

These are my favorite pictures of our Dad's, because they are holding the most precious gift of all!! Im so glad all of them were there to witness this miracle!

Thank you Jason for being such a great Daddy to Landon. He loves you and looks up to you! Here are some pictures from over the past 17 months....
