"We may not have it all together, but together we have it all"

My Meme is in the hospital in Jackson, TN.....she was admitted Friday night into the ICU. Her blood pressure got really high Friday and she complained of chest pains so my Aunt called an ambulance to come pick her up. We thought she might be having a heart attack and at first the doctors thought she had a stroke, but now they don't believe that is the case! She has had 2 seizures that we know about and as of today (Tuesday) she is still in critical care. Jason and I went to the hospital Saturday to see her. Since she is in ICU she can only have visitors at 9:00, 1:00, 5:00, and 9:00 and only 3 people are allowed to go in at time (they let us break this rule because there were so many of us). The first time we saw her she was having trouble saying her thoughts, she would try to answer a question, but it was very difficult for her. She knew who we were and she was better that i thought she was going to be. The second time we saw her she wasn't doing as good....it was REALLY hard for me to see her this way. My Meme is young and full of life and fun to be around and she is a go getter....but seeing her in that hospital bed, laying there lifeless, was one of the hardest things for me to see. By the time her 5:00 visit came around almost the whole family was there....My Mom and Jack, Kris and Shawn, Me and Jason, Aunt Shelly, Brandon, Mica and baby Hunter, Bubba, Aunt Linna, Amber and Bart...we took up practically the whole waiting room. I remember when the nurse opened the door to the ICU to let us in, her eyes got huge and she took a deep breath because we were lined all the way down the hall! She had many guests and tons of phone calls....while I was there our family received 3 huge baskets of goodies to eat (there were probably more than that, that was just while i was there). This just goes to show how much people think of my Meme....she is an incredible woman and i know she is going to fight through this! Sunday night Jason and I spent the night at my Moms house so we could get up early Monday morning and go to the hospital, while we were there I noticed a blanket in my Moms room that read "We may not have it all together, but together we have it all"! This blanket describes my family....we are crazy and embarrassing to some people (the waiting room thought we were nuts) and there are times when we don't always get along, but no matter what is going on my family sticks together and together we have it all!!! We have always been a really close family and i hope this continues! I wanted to share a few fun facts about my Meme....she has 4 kids, 10 grand kids, and fixing to be 4 great grandchildren, she will beat you with whatever she can get her hands on if you get into ants (poor child and ants), she makes ANY food look good when she eats it, she loves her family more than anything in this world, she loves to tell you what she is thinking (she was mad at a nurse and she let him know it), and my favorite fact about her is that she will help you with anything no matter what you ask! Everyone please keep her in yours prayers.

Update: Last night the doctors decided to put Meme in a room....she will be taken out of critical care! Now she can have a visitor at all times. I really think this will help her get better! Please keep praying, maybe before too long the next step will be going home!!
